NCURA’s International Region and Mid-America Region will be co-hosting a Spring Meeting in Chicago from 26-29 April 2015 on the topic of “Research Administration Goes Global”.
About the Spring Meeting
There will be two full-day and eight half-day workshops on Sunday, April 26. On Monday, the meeting will kick off with an engaging keynote presentation on international collaboration from Dr. Robert L. Murphy from Northwestern University. This will be followed by Hot Topic Discussion Circles and over 60 concurrent sessions! From introductory topics, to senior forums, to current information on uniform guidance, there is definitely something for everyone. There will be plenty of opportunities for networking, as well. A Sunday evening reception at the Museum of Contemporary Art, just a few blocks from the Drake Hotel; Monday evening dinner groups to a wide selection ethnic restaurants and local breweries); and Tuesday evening’s “Taste of Chicago” at the Drake featuring Dee Alexander and a local blues band.
In the same time there will be a half-day workshop on Horizon 2020 and a concurrent session led by a representative from the European Commission’s Health Directorate (DG Research). The Spring Meeting is open to the public and is one of the premier regional research administration meetings in the MidWest and, this year, for NCURA’s International Region, too.
