Following the successful participation in the Global City Teams Challenge Exhibition and Workshop on June 1st and 2nd, FIWARE is organizing a new event in Washington D.C., on July 15th and 16th, 2015.
FIWARE is an open initiative aiming to create a sustainable ecosystem to grasp the opportunities that will emerge with the new wave of digitalization caused by the integration of recent Internet technologies.
On Wednesday, July 15th, from 09.00am to 12.00am, they welcome city representatives, individuals and organisations working with and for cities, at the “FIWARE Cities Workshop”, where they will learn more about how cities can benefit from FIWARE. In addition, the “Open & Agile Smart Cities” initiative will be presented. This initiative already gathers more than 50 cities with a common goal: creating an open Smart City market based on the needs of cities and communities.
On Thursday, July 16th, from 09.00am to 12.00am, they welcome service providers and organisations interested in providing FIWARE services and assistance to cities in the USA, at the “FIWARE Service Workshop”. Service providers, organisations, universities or individuals interested in providing FIWARE services and assistance to American cities will be given all the information needed to start such an activity.
The workshops and the B2B meetings are free of charge.
