EURAXESS Slam Event
American University, Washington, DC
EURAXESS Links North America is organising on 24 September a SCIENCE SLAM EVENT at the American University in Washington DC. A Science Slam is scientific talk where scientists present their own scientific research work in a given time frame - usually 10 minutes or less - in front of a mixed audience. The focus lies on teaching current science to a diverse audience in an entertaining way.
The competition is open to researchers based in North America regardless of their nationality or field of research. The winner of the competition will be granted with a free round trip ticket to Brussels, Belgium, to participate in the European Union's funded Conference 'EURAXESS VOICE OF THE RESEARCHERS' next 21-22 November 2013.
If you are a researcher currently based in North America (US and Canada), enter the competition by posting a video featuring your science slam on our LinkedIn site, or upload it on YouTube or DropBox and send the link directly to northamerica@euraxess.net before 10 September 2013.
Up to 7 entries will be invited to join the EURAXESS Science Slam North America 2013 at the American University.
